Been A While

Sorry I haven't posted in over a month. I've been trying to get my craft room cleaned up and trying to keep up with all the social media accounts. Needless to say, I have fallen behind on a couple.

I have made a few new items from Unicorns to Pokemon like these:

Each of these turn out pretty big, 19 inches tall. The first 2 are a part of the new shop, Krafty Katz Studio and come with jewelry from Wire Wolf Treasures and a sewn bag or 2 from Krafty Katz Studio.

This week and next I will be preparing for my first, last and only craft fair of the year. One of the coordinators has rented a store in a local mall so we can have a sale. We are be treated the same as a consignment shop or a Spirit Halloween store. I have purchased clear, plastic table covers so I can wipe down my booth between customers, I have Lysol spray for my items to keep them germ free, large price signs so no one needs to handle items to find a price, and of course masks, gloves and hand sanitizer for myself.

Hopefully this all goes well and crafters and artist can get back to in person selling.

What a Month

Sorry it's been almost a month since my last post. My state is starting to re-open and we've been trying to get my husband back into a work routine. We have also had to make some home repairs during the last month when a drain pipe in the master bathroom developed a 3 inch long crack and leaked into the laundry room ceiling.
On top of all of that, we lost a fur baby to old age. We rescued (by that I mean caught in the yard) a couple of guinea pigs 6 years ago, after bringing them inside we found one to be pregnant and ended up with six little black ball of fur. As of today, we have 2 of the original babies still living the high life in their brand spanking new cage. We also have a new multi colored long haired baby in another cage (the 2 original are boys and the new is a girl so NO shared cages for them). We are going to go to the pet store this week and get another little girl to keep her company.
I have completed a few more abandoned projects in the last month too. I found a Charmander that was missing his limbs and an orange blob that I turned into another Trapinch.

I am now working on a new project. I am making plushies of Australian animals. I've finished a wombat and I'm almost done with a platypus. I will post pics when I have a few more done.

Crochet update

I have picked up my crochet hook again! I grabbed a couple of projects out of my abandoned projects bags and finished one, still working on the other. I finished a mandrake seedling that needed it's legs and pot.
I'm working on a 3 foot long dragon now, he needed legs, wings and to move the eyelids (I made them into ears) and give him normal looking eyes. I got the legs done and attached, the wing membranes are ready, just need to get the face looking better and make the arms for the wings so I can see them on. Here's the main body done with all his legs.

Just another week in quarantine

I've been rearranging my craft room, aka the family room. I have my new desk set up, just waiting for the keyboard tray to arrive so I can install it.

How's it going?

Still under a Stay at Home order, still healthy, still crocheting.
Since the last time I posted an entry I have finished a few more scarves and a couple of hats to go with the paw prints scarves

The top hat is a simple sc, dc pattern to get a nice texture. The second hat is from a pattern called Rolling Waves Slouch.

I started taking custom orders again. I've made a few masks for myself and my family to reduce our risks of spreading the virus. My awesome daughter works at a craft store and is able to get me whatever I need without me having to wait in line outside to get in. I've also seen that the post office isn't really crowded so I feel ok going in to mail orders.

My first custom order is for a My Little Pony fan art:
We had some fabulous weather last weekend and I got my container garden planted on the deck. I planted rainbow carrots, normal carrots, onions, several kinds of cherry tomatoes, celery, cilantro, lettuce, strawberries, parsley and snow peas. Come summer, I should have some nice produce for my family and for the guinea pigs.

My next project is to empty out my craft room and clean and rearrange it. I've been bagging up my yarns and putting all of the stuffies into storage trunks. My wonderful hubby got me 8 of these really cool trunks to put away my inventory and I have filled all of them. OMG, I didn't realize just how many plushies I had made.

More scarves and now Hats too

I tried to post this a few days ago, but Blogger won't sync up to my phone any more. So, let's try this with the PC.
I'm still playing with my sewing machine (still haven't gotten up the courage to try out the embroidery functions yet). I went to Joann's the other day, basically to check up on my daughter that works there, and found some more fleece in the remnants bin. I also picked up some Minky in green and gray. I've finished about a dozen scarves and am now working on hats to go with them.
I have 2 of these Seahawks finished so far (I still have a couple of yards of both fabricss)
3 of these paw prints scarves
2 of these camper scarves (still have another yard of these fabrics to make more)
3 panda scarves
and 1 Dream Big scarf
I am trying out my knitting machine to make some of the hats, but I'm not sure I like them and dropping stitches is a problem if I crank the handle too fast. Making the bottom of the knitted hats look nice is kinda a pain in the neck too. I think I will crochet most of the hats. Here are the ones I've finished so far. The first 2 are crocheted, the rest are the knitting machine. The gray and green is the one that I don't like, the machine looks like it dropped a few stitches here and there and made it look really thin (I may just take it apart and crochet it instead)

I'm working on crocheting hats for the paw prints scarves now.

Another Sunday in Quarantine

It's been a week since my last update. I've crocheted a little, mostly worked on this baby Yoda for a friend's birthday (pattern by Allison Hoffman)
Sewing some scarves from all the fabric I have around the house

They are fleece on one side and minky on the other. I have a few more in the works, then I will either sell them at local events, sell them online or donate them to charity (haven't decided yet)
I also made this stadium blanket with Fleece and minky fabric
Now I'm working on a big dragon from a pattern by Delicious Crochet

More Hats

Last month I showed some of my Pokemon beanies. I have made more since then and would like to share them now

Hopefully I will have more to share soon. Right now, I am taking a break from crochet to play with my new sewing machine. I have quite a bit of fabric around the house, so I think I will work with that for a few days.
In the mean time, Happy Easter, Happy Passover, Joyous Spring, Blessed be, and above all I wish you all Health and Happiness, stay safe out there
