Pineapple Shawl

I found a pattern I haven't made in a few years. It's titled Sidewalk Shawl by Kimberly McAlindin from Stitch Nation. I got the pattern for free on the Red Heart website. I think it looks like pineapples, so I call it a pineapple shawl.
   The pattern goes to row 50, but I did an extra couple of repetitions and went to 60 rows and I also added to the beginning rows to taper to more of a point than the original pattern. I used a white yarn with flecks of pastel colors woven through it.

National Chopsticks Day

February 6th is National Chopsticks Day. In honor of today here is cute pic of my sushi roll scarves, one even has real chopsticks in it :)

Etsy is back

   Last year I had closed my Etsy shop to try other online selling options. It did not work out as I had hoped, so I am back on Etsy. My shop on Etsy is Nanette Crochet. I also have a Facebook page where I have more items in the photo albums.

   This year the only events I am sure I will be at are the Flavor Of Federal Way in my home town of Federal Way Washington this August and The Meeker Holiday Bazaar at Meeker Middle School in NE Tacoma Washington this November.

Pokemon Hats

 I have been making Pokemon beanies for the past few months. People seem to like them so far. I sold a Diglet, a Jigglypuff, an Oddish, a Togepi and a Wooper so far. I just finished the new Chingling last night (I had fun and put a jingle bell in the top yellow button between the ribbons). I have  Shupppet, Jigglypuff, and Chikorita listed in my Etsy shop. New Year, New Decade, New Blog

   I am going to try to make a blog post at least once a month from now on.
For this first post of the year I'd like to tell you all what I've been up to.

   I have been working on cleaning up my craft room and getting it organized. I found a bunch of great deals on yarn last year and had to figure out a way to put everything away while still being able to find things.
