Smeargle Pokemon with pattern




Smeargle
Materials
Cream or white yarn for the main color and brown for the ears and stripes and any color for the paint on the tail, small amount of black for the mouth and accents
white felt for the eyes and a  felt matching the paint to make the paw print on the back
Polyester fiberfill,
Size G hook
tapestry needle, regular needle and thread to sew felt on

Starting at the top
Beret
with white or cream
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic circle (6)
Rnd 2 :2 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc (7)
Rnd 3: 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 6 sc (8)
Rnd 4: 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 7 sc (9)
Rnd 5: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around (12)

Eyes patches (make 2) Brown felt can be used instead and is much easier

Rnd 2: 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc (16)
Rnd 3: sc in next sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 7 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 6 sc (20)

Rnd 6: ( sc in next 4 sc, dec over next 2 sc) twice (10)
Stuff the hand VERY lightly (you want it flat)
Rnd 7: dec over next 2 sc, sc in next 8 sc (9)
change to brown for 2 rnds (I carried the cream behind the brown)
Rnd 8 - 9: sc in each sc around (9)
Stuff the arm as you work from here
back to cream for 1 rnds
Rnd 10 -11: sc in each sc around (9)
Brown for 2 rows
Rnd 12 - 13: sc in each sc around (9)
back to cream for remainder
Rnd 14 - 20: sc in each sc around (9)
Rnd 21: sc in next 4 sc, ch 1 and turn (4)
Rnd 22: sc in next 4 sc (4)
F/O add any stuffing needed

Tail
starting with paint color
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic circle (6)
Rnd 2: sc in each sc around (6)
Rnd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around (9)
Rnd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around (12)

change to cream and begin stuffing here and continue as you work

Feet (make 2)
with white or cream
Rnd 1: ch 7, 2 sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 4 ch, 3 sc in last ch, working the other side of ch, sc in next 5 (14)
Rnd 2: 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 6 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 6 sc (18)
Rnd 3 - 6: sc in each sc around (18)
Rnd 7: (sc in next sc, dec over next 2 sc) around (12)
Stuff moderately (foot should be flatiash)
Rnd 8: (dec over next 2 sc) around (6)
F/O leaving a long tail, finish stuffing and weave tail through last rnd and pull closed. Leave the tail to use to sew


Assembly
Starting with the head, sew the ears and eyes on first, then the beret (I did the mouth and nostrils too, its easier before attaching the head to the body)
Sew head to bady next, then you can place the arms and legs in the correct places,  sew the tail to the back and feet on the legs
Use black to make the fingers and toes
Cut out a little paw from the paint colored felt and sew it to the back
I sewed the tail to the hand, but you can leave it loose if you want
